Losing a true global health icon: Dr. Faustine

Tanzania, Africa, and the global health community have lost a true icon with a relentless passion for improving health outcomes for the African people. Dr. Faustine was not only a champion for ending TB but also a tireless advocate for the marginalized and underserved. His passing is an immeasurable loss to the fight against TB and to the countless lives he touched through his work.
At KNCV, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Dr. Faustine’s family and the government of Tanzania during this difficult time. We mourn the loss of a visionary leader, a compassionate friend, and an unwavering advocate for health equity.
May Dr. Faustine rest in eternal peace, and may his legacy inspire us all to continue the vital work he so passionately championed.
