De werkgroep MDR-tuberculose bespreekt op advies van de CPT sinds 2014 alle patiënten met Rifampicine Resistente (RR)-tuberculose en is omgevormd tot de werkgroep RR- tuberculose. De adviezen in deze leidraad zijn daarom verbreed naar preventie, diagnostiek, behandeling en zorg voor patiënten met RR-tuberculose.
