KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation United States

KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation United States is a recently formed charitable nonprofit corporation duly organized under the Virginia Nonstock Corporation Act. Its Articles of Incorporation were filed on June 27, 2018. The organization is legally independent from KNCV in The Netherlands, but is part of the KNCV network and has the same mission.

The Organization’s primary activity will be to support the charitable and educational mission of KNCV and its global affiliates to eliminate tuberculosis worldwide and promote the national and international control of tuberculosis. The Organization will support KNCV and its programs by raising funds to be used to assist in the elimination and control of tuberculosis in countries battling tuberculosis. The Organization’s goal is to save lives by helping KNCV reach its full purpose to eliminate tuberculosis worldwide.

The Organization’s secondary activity will be the direct operation of activities to eliminate tuberculosis worldwide and promote of the national and international control of tuberculosis. The Organization will implement TB research, prevention, and analysis programs similar to those that KNCV operates. The Organization’s work will build on KNCV’s comprehensive approach to the TB epidemic concentrates in improving access to early TB prevention and care for all TB patients; generating evidence for new and existing tools and interventions; and supporting systems by bolstering governance and management capacity. The Organization will play a role in financial and programmatic management of global TB Control projects funded by institutional donors, including possible cooperative agreements with the United States Government (if awarded) and will award sub agreements to international partners based on these cooperative agreements for implementation in countries with a high TB burden.

To date, the organization has not retained any employees or contractors. The organization does not currently pay any compensation to its officers or directors.
