Preventive Services Officer
Max is a Medical Doctor with postgraduate training and more than 30 years’ experience in public health. His main areas of interest are infectious disease control and prevention, health program design for special risk groups, integration of health programs and performance based financing. Quality standards of care and compliance with standard operating procedures at the facility level to uphold these standards are key in his consultancy work.
At KNCV, he helped national TB programs to develop, implement, scale up and monitor infection control and prevention approaches. He is the technical focal point for Botswana, DR Congo and Namibia. Further, he oversees the TB prevention activities (active case finding, contact investigation, infection control and preventive treatment) in all Challenge TB project countries.
