KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation is an international non-profit organization dedicated to the fight against tuberculosis (TB). KNCV is the lead partner in Challenge TB, the new USAID-funded 5-year global program. We lead an international consortium comprising eight partner organizations in addition to KNCV: ATS, FHI 360, IRD, JATA, MSH, PATH, The Union, and WHO. In Ethiopia, Challenge TB is being implemented by KNCV as a lead and MSH and WHO as a collaborating partner. The strategic objectives of Challenge TB are to improve access to patient care, to prevent transmission and disease progression, and to strengthen TB platforms.
Challenge TB-Ethiopia operates from a central office in Addis Ababa and two regional offices, one in Tigray and one in SNNPR. The project will expand to more regions in the near future.
KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation is recruiting for the position of Finance Manager for its Challenge TB program in Ethiopia.
Purpose of the position
The Finance Manager oversees the finance functions which include promoting financial stewardship, accountability, reliability and accuracy of accounting and financial reports. The position holder supports the Country Director in the efficient financial management of all projects including development of project and office budgets. He ensures accounting transactions are in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, KNCV Policy, and any cost principles imposed by KNCV or donor agency; and agrees with supporting documents. The position holder ensures monthly financial reporting to KNCV in The Hague and to donors, monitors availability of funds and is the contact person for audits by external auditor. He is responsible to timely signal over- and under spending of allocated budget. The Finance Manager reports to the Deputy Director Operations.
Who are we looking for?
You have a Master’s Degree in accounting or equivalent. At least 7 years work experience in a similar position in an international organization. You have experience working with donors, preferably with USAID. Demonstrated experience in planning, budgeting and forecasting, financial management and finance reporting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Excellent skills in MS Office, QuickBooks and or similar accounting software.
