KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation is an international non-profit organization dedicated to the fight against tuberculosis (TB). KNCV is the lead partner in Challenge TB, the new USAID-funded 5-year global program. We lead an international consortium comprising eight partner organizations in addition to KNCV: ATS, FHI 360, IRD, JATA, MSH, PATH, The Union, and WHO. In Ethiopia, Challenge TB is being implemented by KNCV as a lead and MSH and WHO as a collaborating partner. The strategic objectives of Challenge TB are to improve access to patient care, to prevent transmission and disease progression, and to strengthen TB platforms.
Challenge TB-Ethiopia operates from a central office in Addis Ababa and two regional offices, one in Tigray and one in SNNPR. The project will expand to more regions in the near future.
KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation is recruiting for the position of Project Officer for its Challenge TB program in Ethiopia.

Purpose of the position

The Project Officer ensures adherence to KNCV and donor rules and regulations, as well as supporting the management of the projects. He coordinates the monitoring and reporting system of the project implementation process, including the submission of necessary periodical and ad hoc reports. He coordinates documentation and dissemination of project results including preparation and submission of progress reports, presentations and other relevant financial documents. The Project Officer gathers up-to-date information of relevant donors’ rules, principles and procedures and ensures quality, timely implementation of all approved activities and projects against the work plan and budget. He assists and facilitates the process of developing, revising, finalizing and submitting work plans, budgets and other necessary documentation to the local donor offices when applicable.
The Project Officer reports to the Deputy Director Operations.

Who are we looking for?
You have a Bachelor or Masters Degree in health or health related field. At least 5 years for Masters or 10 years for Bachelor of work experience in an international organization and demonstrated experience in a similar position. You have in depth knowledge of project management including project- M&E and finance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. You have experience working with donors, preferably with USAID-funded projects. Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications.
