As Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare in India, Dr. Vardhan knows what it takes to translate strong political commitment to ending TB by 2025 in India to driving progress on the ground unabatedly. This includes an effective strategy in fighting COVID-19 and TB at the same time, following an initially devastating impact of COVID-19 on TB services in the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Stop TB Partnership’s vision is a TB-free world and will benefit greatly from the strategic vision and on-the-ground perspectives of Dr. Vardhan, as the TB community collectively works towards all countries reaching the UN TB targets for 2022 and staying on course to Ending TB by 2030.
