Calling on the Global Fund to urgently increase allocations for TB

Today KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation jointly with 57 tuberculosis (TB) civil society and community organizations ask the Board of the Global Fund to increase attention and resources significantly and meaningfully to the global TB response. The sign-on letter warns how TB responses are at very high risk of deteriorating unless the needed resources are urgently made available.

The Global Fund meets this week to decide on several important issues, including the Global Disease Split – the proportion of resources the Global Fund allocates between AIDS, TB and malaria.

Organizations were able to sign-on until Sunday 7 November, 6PM CET. The final letter can be found here.

KNCV has been fighting TB since its establishment in 1903. Over the past 120 years, the organization has acquired indispensable knowledge and experience in the field of effective TB prevention and care, resulting in pre-elimination in the Netherlands and significant contributions to global evidence generation, policy development and TB program implementation worldwide.
