Rest in peace, Dr. Baba Awe

TB Program Nigeria, Afrika and the world will greatly miss the dedicated and passionate Dr. Baba Awe. He has spent his entire career fighting the suffering caused by tuberculosis (TB) and related challenges. Over the past two decades, KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation has had the privilege to work closely with Dr. Baba Awe on multiple projects in Nigeria.

We will never forget Awe’s dedication to the reduction of human suffering due to TB. On the behalf of the entire KNCV staff, our sincere condolences go out to his family, friends and all colleagues around the world.

KNCV has been fighting TB since its establishment in 1903. Over the past 120 years, the organization has acquired indispensable knowledge and experience in the field of effective TB prevention and care, resulting in pre-elimination in the Netherlands and significant contributions to global evidence generation, policy development and TB program implementation worldwide.
