KNCV key intervention areas across the innovation pathway

KNCV provides technical assistance (TA) at the request of governments, donor agencies and other stakeholders in TB Elimination. Depending on the expressed needs and locality, KNCV can provide short or medium term TA by local, regional or international consultants through country visits or longer term TA and/or managerial support for the duration of a project. Increasingly KNCV is using remote support, including e-workshops and e-learning as integral element of its technical assistance. This distance-based TA has been extremely useful during this time of COVID-19 pandemic.

Our eight key intervention pathways are:

  1. New drugs & treatment regimens
  2. Digital health solutions
  3. Diagnosis & treatment of LTBI
  4. Stigma reduction
  5. Epidemiological measurement methodologies
  6. People-Centered Framework for National Strategic Planning and HSS
  7. New diagnostics and lab network design
  8. Blended learning platform & methodologies

KNCV has been fighting TB since its establishment in 1903. Over the past 120 years, the organization has acquired indispensable knowledge and experience in the field of effective TB prevention and care, resulting in pre-elimination in the Netherlands and significant contributions to global evidence generation, policy development and TB program implementation worldwide.
