
Rachel joined KNCV in 2018 as a consultant for the newly-formed Digital Health Solutions team. She specializes in leveraging information and communication technologies (ICT) to improve health service delivery in the realms of patient support, access to data, and capacity building.
Among other projects, she currently works on the enhancement, implementation, and integration of digital adherence technologies (DAT) to improve patient treatment outcomes in the Philippines, Ukraine, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and South Africa. Previous work includes leveraging paper-to-digital systems to improve collection of maternal health data, developing multi-sectoral approaches for the use of UAVs (drones) for routine medical commodity delivery in hard-to-reach areas, guiding feature development of Open Source software to streamline logistics management in the immunization cold chain, and advocacy on the use of digital solutions for societal and economic empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
Rachel has a Master of Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder in Information and Communication Technology for Development.
