
Ineke Huitema is a Consultant and an Educational Specialist with over 25 years of experience in capacity building, systems strengthening, coaching and mentoring, of which more than 15 years for KNCV, during which she provided technical support to country’s stakeholders like NTPs, NGOs, CBOs etc.
She is a qualified Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, she has a teaching qualification first level and a Master’s degree with honours in Health Professions Education.
She previously worked and lived in East Africa for almost 10 years. Capacity building has always been the core of her work and training, mentoring, and supervision are important components. Before that she worked in the Netherlands as nurse tutor and clinical instructor.
Recently she was based in Nigeria as the Acting Country Director for CTB and coordinating a GeneXpert roll-out project.
At present she’s coordinating the development of e-learning modules and blended learning packages in a project for the World Health Organization (WHO). Further, she is involved in rolling out stigma reduction interventions.
